Re: Internet Radio meta data?
Thanks for that. Does that mean it could possibly work for playing individual music files, but not internet radio (where the songs change)?

Re: Internet Radio meta data?
I usually try not to use transcoding profiles unless I need to override a particular stream or file's settings. I leave no profile assigned to the "Movies", "Music", "Internet-Television", "Internet-Radio" Transcoding File Params settings. If the file extensio...

Re: GPU transcode?
Thanks for such a quick response. I tried the code, but it did not work. The usual error about file unsupported or corrupt (or whatever it says) error when playing internet television. I am happy to revert to VLC 1.0.5. The new VLC is a release candidate, not the full release. Many thanks.

Re: Internet Radio meta data?
I am trying to investigate if there is a commandline option for VLC to query this data from the file, before streaming/transcoding. EDIT: Actually WMS knows this info already for m4a files. It's just not being streamed when being transcoded by vlc. I am just wondering, does vlc stream directly to th...

Re: Internet Radio meta data?
Actually audio files transcoded with vlc seem to not have artist/title/album meta data either.

Re: GPU transcode?
Hi there. I couldn't play any internet tv or radio links that used the new VLC for some reason. I tried a normal mp3 radio stream which was fine, another wasn't though. Using vlc to transcode .m4a files into .mp3 was ok.

Re: Sony blu-ray players: BDP-S370 / 470 / 570 / 770
An update my config so far: My default setting in Settings -> Transcoder Transcoding File Params -> Extension: Movies, and Internet TV = mpg. Music and Internet Radio = mp3. Playing iTunes .m4a files: The player can play AAC codec in movies, but I haven't figured out how to stream AAC .m4a files yet...

Re: GPU transcode?
The new release candidate of VLC lists "GPU and DSP decoding, depending on the platform" as a new feature: http://www.videolan.org/vlc/releases/1.1.0-RC.html EDIT: I installed it, but I don't think WMS 1.0.3 works with VLC 1.1.0-RC presenty. I have uninstalled VLC 1.1.0-RC and will reinsta...

Re: Sony blu-ray players: BDP-S370 / 470 / 570 / 770
I would like to tune WMS interaction/communication with the BDP-S370. How do I find (or benchmark) optimal settings such as Positioning (chunked, etc), transfer data buffer size, and other settings please? Can this info be queried from the player itself? I imagine that the finer details of the speci...
